To get the most out of your Studio J experience, it’s important that you read and understand the following finer points to make sure we’re all on the same page before we begin our dance journey together. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
You will receive an instant email confirming your purchase (please check your spam/junk folder). For all courses, you’ll be added to a private WhatsApp group 1-2 days prior to your course starting (excluding casual class & recorded tutorial purchases). This private group is our primary method of communication with students, and is used to provide class updates, zoom links, resource videos, and answer any of your questions. Please ensure that you have this app installed, or you may miss important information and updates regarding your course.
All sales are final and there are no refunds or credits for missed classes or absences. Numbers are very limited in our in-studio courses, and therefore no refunds or credits can be issued if you decide for any reason to cancel your in-studio enrollment at any time 🙁 This includes but is not limited to: change of mind, illness, pregnancy, pandemics, missed classes, injury, or dropping out for any reason.
Courses may be cancelled if there are insufficient enrolments (minimum 5 students). In this instance, a full refund will be offered to students already enrolled.
Should unavoidable or unforeseen interruption occur to our courses or classes, Studio J Dance may not be able to meet its obligations or may only partially be able to meet its obligations. This includes closure due to government direction or health department direction. In the event that a course or class(es) are missed due to a Force Majeure event, then Studio J Dance will endeavour to provide a rescheduled course or move to online classes. If a suitable reschedule is not possible, Studio J Dance may provide a credit or refund at management discretion, however a credit or refund cannot be guaranteed because of the hardship also experienced by Studio J Dance.
MISSED CLASSES & ABSENCES
All sales are final and there are no refunds or credits for missed classes or absences. We encourage you to complete all sessions of your course as they are designed to progress week after week. However, we understand life happens, so we have mini recordings of your class, practice videos and group chats in place to make it easier for you to stay on track and get the most out of your course.
In the rare event that your teacher is unable to take a class, then a guest teacher will be arranged, or the class may be rescheduled to a different date or cancelled. For any cancelled classes or courses by Studio J, a full refund will be given for the class/es affected.
You must be over 18 years of age to participate in all our in-studio courses. For those aged 16-17, enrollments will be considered upon request.
Our #1 priority at Studio J is to teach Indian dance – properly. Which means standing by our teachers & classes 100%, no matter what. If you complete a full course without missing any live classes*, and find that you’re not satisfied for any reason, then we will issue a full refund. It’s that simple. We’re here for our dance family. Dance. Guaranteed.
*For our Dance Guarantee, the full course must be completed without absence from either our in-studio or live-streamed online classes. Attendance during classes in real-time gives our teachers the opportunity to help you with any steps that you might be struggling with.
Our Dance Guarantee is valid for all our dance courses. We hope you love your course, but if you attend all the live sessions and are not satisfied, then please be sure to inform us within 7 days of your course completion so that we can process your refund or credit.
CLASS RECORDINGS, PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY
Our online classes are delivered in real-time via either YouTube Live or Zoom. After enrolling, you will be added to a private WhatsApp group the day before your course starts. The group message will include your Zoom link and password.
Online classes are recorded and made available for the duration of the course, so that you can catch up if you missed the session. Class recordings cannot be accessed once the course has ended.
We may use images and/or videos from classes on our social media, website or promotional material. If you don’t feel comfortable with this, please let us and your teacher know at the start of the course and make sure you opt out of any photos or video filming during class. If you don’t tell us, we won’t know that you’re not ok with us using footage of you.
