Mohiniyattam is a classical Indian dance form from Kerala, India. “Mohiniyattam” literally means “the dance of the enchantress” and is known for its hypnotic grace. It is characterised by its curvaceous torso bends, gently rhythmic footwork, and fluid arm movements. In learning mohiniyattam you will imbibe the powerful grace and hypnotic charisma of the enchantress, you will learn how to use your face and hands to communicate eloquently, and you will learn how to deeply connect with space and audiences using your eyes.
Mohiniyattam is taught by Raina Peterson, Mondays 6pm.
